Hot Cross Bun French Toast

Ingredients

-4 Leftover hot cross buns.
-6 Eggs.
-200g whole milk.
-50g Caster Sugar
-2g cinnamon
-30g butter
-Icing sugar for dusting. - 30g Orange Syrup

Method

-whisk together, your eggs, milk, castor, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla. 

-Then cut your hot Cross buns in half and soak on each side in your egg mixture for at least five minutes.

-in a large frying pan, bring a little oil and butter to a foaming stage then add your soaked hot-cross buns and caramelise for five minutes each side until golden brown baste if necessary.

-preheat your oven to 160°C and bake for 5 to 10 minutes. Just with icing sugar and drizzle with a little leftover of the hot cross bun glaze, then serve and enjoy.
